Biography
Patrick Webb, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at NC A&T State University. He has a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Lamar University, and an M.A. in Sociology and a Ph.D. in Juvenile Justice from Prairie View A&M University. Overall, his research experiences include the identity, perceptions, and treatment of minorities in the US.
Dr. Webb has over 26 years of instructional and research experience as a faculty member in numerous institutions of higher education. This includes the development of research designs and surveys, data analysis, and the dissemination of data results. He has taught numerous research courses (e.g., statistics, research methods, etc.) and provided leadership in the development of research projects with undergraduate and post-graduate level students. Dr. Webb has presented and published research which includes a variety of sociological topics and populations. Examples of such include racial identity among minority youth, perceptions of disproportionate minority youth arrests among law enforcement, and the perceptions of campus crime victimization experiences among minority students. Overall, he has led numerous research projects for the purpose of 1) exposing minorities to research experiences in the social sciences and 2) highlighting the voices of underrepresented populations in professional, academic, and community settings.
