Biography

Richelle DaSouza, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Business Information Systems and Analytics department in the Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics at North Carolina A&T State University. She obtained her Ph.D. from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from the University at Albany, State University of New York.

Dr. DaSouza’s research interests focus on examining the role of technology in organizational practices and the impact of emerging technologies on individual behaviors. She publishes in top ranked IS journals and conferences. From 2017-2019, Dr. DaSouza was a Co-PI and grant consultant on a team awarded $400,000 in a National Science Foundation 3-year targeted infusion project grant to develop a certificate program on Interdisciplinary Data Analytics at Savannah State University, one of her previous institutions. Recently, Dr. DaSouza was awarded the 2024-2025 Faculty Research Initiative $25,000 grant from Thurgood Marshall College Fund and Novartis US Foundation to support research that aims to identify the appropriate telehealth solution that will best fit the mental health needs of NC A&T students.

Dr. DaSouza is active with KPMG’s PhD Project and the Association for Information Systems. She serves as the Faculty Advisor for the AIS Student Chapter, the Program Coordinator for Business Analytics in her department, and the co-director of COBE's Pre-College Business Summer Camp.
