Biography

Dr. Sarin is Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at A&T. He earned a bachelor's Chemical Engineering and master's in Mechanical Engineering (IE concentration) from IIT Delhi and a PhD in Industrial Engineering from State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a licensed Professional Engineer, senior member of IISE, and member of Omega Rho, Sigma Xi, Tau Beta Pi, Phi Kappa Phi and Order of the Engineer. He has received several awards including the outstanding advising award, teaching excellence award, and the outstanding administrator award. He has served as Assoc Dean of Engineering; Director of Computational Engineering; Chair of Bioengineering; Graduate College Dean; Assoc VC for University Outreach, Professional Development and Distance Education; Director of International Programs; Vice Provost for Research, Graduate Programs and Extended Learning; VC for Research and Economic Development; and Special Assistant to the Chancellor for Strategic Partnerships.
