Yusuf G (Debo) Adewuyi is a professor of chemical and bioengineering at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCAT). Adewuyi’s research focuses on Green and Sustainable Chemical and Environmental Engineering: Catalysis-Reactions-Separations-Energy-Environment. He obtained his BS (Cum Laude) from Ohio University and MS/PhD from the University of Iowa, all in chemical engineering. Prior to joining NCAT, he was a senior staff/research engineer at Mobil R&D Corporation (now ExxonMobil). He is a Fellow of the AIChE; and received the AIChE William W. Grimes Award for Excellence in Chemical Engineering, AIChE Minority Affairs Committee Excellence Service Award, Distinguished Service Award, and the Eminent Chemical Engineer Award. He is the 2014 NCAT Outstanding University Senior Researcher of the Year, three-time Outstanding College of Engineering Senior Researcher of the Year, and two-time Chemical Engineering Teacher of the Year. He has published over 200 refereed journal and conference papers, book chapters and patents; which have been cited over 7100 (Google Scholar) times with h-index of 41. He listed in the top 2% among the world's most cited scientists.
