Abstract
By 2050 racial/ethnic minorities will account for over 53% of the U.S. population. The number of minority businesses is increasing at a faster rate than non-minority owned companies. Consequently, college classrooms are becoming increasingly multicultural and require pedagogies that support classroom diversity and enhance the educational experience. While an effective pedagogy, few published, business cases deal with minority-owned businesses. We survey minority business owners and managers to learn if: (1) they are being approached to develop business cases, (2) if approached, do they agree to participate in developing cases, and (3) if the first two responses are affirmative, why so few minority business cases are available.
