Abstract
This paper considers the problem of determining an appropriate sequence of tasks for assembling a system from a given set of components and their interactions. The type of fix, along with information on number of parts fixed on a single base part, and number of contacts made by each part is utilized to develop an assembling sequence. The algorithm is coded in C programming language. The procedure has been applied to the assembly of a die set. © 1995.
