Abstract
This chapter presents an overview of the electrospinning of chitosan. The properties of chitosan solutions relevant to electrospinning are discussed, followed by a summary of studies on electrospinning of unmodified and modified chitosan and experimental setups to produce core-shell and aligned nanofibers from chitosan. Finally, some highlights on applications of electrospun chitosan are presented.
