Abstract
Direct collisional energy transfer processes of the excited states of Li(4p) was investigated. Nonreactive absorption profiles of the collision complex were studied as a function of laser detuning from the Li(2s-4p) resonances. Structures in the absorption spectra were studied using high level calculations. The results show that scattering state spectroscopy technique can be used to study nonradiative energy transfer processes.
