N2 - A mixed methods study surveying minority pre-service educators to examine the factors deemed to be important in their educational success was conducted. Forty-three scholarship studies in a College of Education provided quantitative and qualitative data on their perceptions of factors that contributed to their journey to success in college and/or graduate school. Quantitative group results indicated that a strong sense of perseverance and determination, a belief in one's abilities, influence of family members, scholarships/fellowships, spirituality, and hope ranked highest among a number of factors rated. Qualitative data offered insight and detail about the significance of these factors upon educational success for these minority students.
