Abstract

Genetic algorithms (GAs) and thematic bridging are applied to composition. Thematic bridging allows for the specification of thematic material (frequency, duration, and amplitude) to the GA. The GA controls a dynamic operation set that dictates the placement and arrangement of the thematic material.
