Abstract

Bimetallic nanoparticles of Pd-Co/Pd-Ni in MCM type mesoporous silica were synthesized by hydro-thermal procedure using Pd(NO3)2, CoCl2, Ni(NO3)2, cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide, tetramethoxysilane, ammonia, and water. The metal oxides in the mesoporous silica were reduced using 4% hydrogen to yield an alloy. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the AIChE Spring National Meeting (New Orleans, LA 4/6-10/2008).
