Abstract
The purification and structure characterization of seven aromatic sesquiterpenes from scented Commiphora myrrha are reported. Their structures were determined on the basis of spectral data, especially of NMR evidence. Among them, compound 1 is a new furanosesquiterpene and compound 2 is identified as a new natural aroma found in Commiphora spp. All compounds except 4 were isolated, for the first time, from Commiphora myrrha.
