Abstract

Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) is an attack where the attacker overflows the victim’s computer with requests, so legitimate users cannot access the victim. Currently, there is a lack of engaging ways to teach about DDoS attacks. Thus, we created a 3D game to teach the basic concepts of DDoS. The game offers a variety of debugging and visualizing tools, which can be used to examine malicious IP addresses. To evaluate the impact of the game, a pre-quiz and post-quiz will be used, which are incorporated into the game. The game is self-contained and can be deployed to different platforms.
