Abstract

Uncoordinated frequency hopping (UFH) with the aid of adversarial multi-armed bandit (MAB) has gained increasing recognition for providing anti-jamming solutions. The adversarial multi-armed bandit algorithm commonly used in literature, which is EXP 3.P algorithm, suffers from exponential space and time complexity when multiple channels are simultaneously chosen for transmission. However, in this work, a better algorithm with linear space and time complexity is proposed. For the first time, we use this algorithm with UFH to mitigate jamming attacks in a fading channel where the transmitter is power budgeted. The preliminary simulation results in the paper show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm against adaptive, static and random jamming attacks.
