Abstract
The use of a spider web in a circuit analysis course, to enhance the understanding of mesh nodal analysis, is studied. The learning objectives addressed in the work include applying nodal and mesh analysis techniques, and using matrix algebra to solve simultaneous equations. After modeling and synthesizing the web on the computer, students are required to evaluate the data to determine where the spider should wait on the web and the path it would take to get to the prey. The project shows the ways to use MATLAB and/or computer programming to conduct simple simulations.
