Abstract

A new triterpenoid saponin, named segetoside F, showing strong inhibition of luteal cell activity, has been isolated from the seeds of Vaccaria segetalis. Its structure has been established by chemical reactions and spectral analyses. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd.
