Abstract
Pond-Fly ash and geopolymer technology is very promising in reducing the CO2 emissions to atmosphere, replacement of sand by pond ash thus increasing the sustainability of sand, reducing the energy consumption to less than 10% compared to Portland cement concrete, and recycling of huge quantities of mineral waste collected from coal burned electric power plants, an alternative revenue source for many electric utility companies. These products may have similar or better performance compared to OPC products. More research needed to for specific applications.
