Abstract

Exercise science is an evolving and popular major at hundreds of colleges and universities nationwide. Since there are so many established undergraduate exercise science programs and numerous ones that have been developed over the past decade, and it could be assumed that many others are considering adopting this major, it would be helpful to all to identify required content within courses by the accrediting organization. Therefore, this study examines theundergraduate curricula in exercise science programs to determine what content is required in CAAHEP-accredited programs.
