Uniform Commercial Code Study as Business Career Certificate Preparation: That Certified Commercial Contracts Manager Credential

Research output: Contribution to journalReview article

Abstract

Given Standard 1 of the Business Accreditation Standards of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, an undergraduate college of commerce does well to reinforce its "mission" by incorporation of practical teaching-enhancement tools. One such device can be fueling undergraduates' pursuit of their post-graduation attainment of the Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) credential. The CCCM is awarded by the National Contract Managers Association. Study preparatory to earning the CCCM largely has focused upon comprehension of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). The CCCM might serve, increasingly, as what economics styles a signaling tool. Signaling tools can benefit business schools' graduates confronting a challenging employment market. For such a credential evidences a prospective employee's interest in, dedication to, and capacity to command a business-field of utility to the business-prospective employer. Hence, the CCCM as undergraduates' post-graduation goal can mark a motivator and morale-booster for ambitious, employment hungry students.
